Park House is a 243,760 SF, 12-story project will contain 248 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units housing low-income working adults and families from the South Bronx community.
The ground floor will house building common areas including a community room and laundry. The landscaped courtyard, connecting the two buildings, will contain active and contemplative spaces as well as cleverly masked parking for the building’s tenants.
Challenges and Solutions
Metro North – Prior to the start of construction, Mountco had met with several representatives from Metro North to carefully plan and coordinate all phases of this project, from inception to completion. During the planning phase, Mountco worked closely with several companies in order to present a plan to the representatives at Metro North indicating how the building would be erected and built in strict coordination with their policies and procedures.
We are glad to report that all of the hard work that went into the planning and implementation of these steps was a huge success and we could not have been prouder of the team effort that was put forth on this project.
Traffic Control – During the course of this project, two other major buildings were being developed within a one block radius of our site. Mountco’s careful coordination and implementation of logistics helped this project (and the others in the vicinity) achieve its goal of getting deliveries in and out of the sites.
